I have a leaded glass project where the architect wants to use glass that is 5/16" thick. (Two 1/8" layers laminated with rice paper in between). I think I will need a zinc H-channel with a channel width of about 3/8", but I have had no luck locating such a thing. Anyone have a source, or other suggestions?

Mayco has H sizes with a heart height of up to .495" (http://www.maycoindustries.com/pdf_files/Came.pdf) and DHD Metals (http://www.dhdmetalslead.com/) has a number of dies in both flat- and round-H high heart lead.

Both are excellent companies and strong supporters of the Stained Glass Association of America.

there are only 2 zinc came manufactures. Chicago Metallic and Cascade. They do not make custom sizes. Most lead came manufactures have "high heart" came. If they do not have what you want they will custom make a came for you (for a fee)
