cutting 1/4" strips for fusing project

I am having trouble getting good cuts when trying to cut 1/4" strips for a fusing project. Any ideas? Any gizmo's?

Vicki Payne has some mini running pliers that work really well with small strips. The jewelry fusers at my shop love them.
