My wife recently came across a beautiful watercolor study for a stained glass window by the legendary Guido Nincheri.  The detail and the brushwork of the composition are astonishing.  Perhaps I'm not looking in the right places but, at least from information that is in the public domain online,  I could not find any references to the existence of such watercolors as individual identified works of art and certainly no photographs of his smaller masterpeices.  It is signed but not numbered.  My understanding is that each of Mr Nincheri's windows represented a unique inspiration and interpretation of a biblical story.  I was wondering if this was also true for his drawings?  Best we can figure is that the window was made in 1923 for a church that is not included in the online lists of those known to have his work.  If anyone has  insight about this topic we'd love to hear from them.

There is a series of articles running in The Stained Glass Quarterly right now on one of Guido Nincheri's major installations. This series is written by a relative of Guido Nincheri, Roger Boccini Nincheri. He might be able to help you in finding out more about the watercolor design you have. If you would like to contact me privately via email (webmaster@sgaaonline.com), I can provide you with contact information for Roger Nincheri.

I am glad to see the work of your wife. Try to post it on your own blog. I am sure many will view it and appreciate the watercolor work of your wife.
