Our St Thomas church windows were produced by High Point Glass, which is now closed, in 1975. A Englishman by the name, Thomas Dixon, was their artist and did a beautiful job that we've treasured since. We would like to contact this fellow, if possible. Mr. D. Cooper of the SGAA spoke very highly of him.

In Bob Jones book, Biographical Index of Historic American Stained Glass Makers, he has this to say about Thomas Dixon:

Dixon, Thomas Scott.  1906-1983.  Painter.  Born in Lancanster, England, he apprenticed with Shrigley and Hunt Studios.  Came to St. Louis 1951 and worked with Jacoby Studio, then Heimer Studio in New Jersey and then 24 years with High Point.

So, Mr. Scott died back in 1983.  You didn't say where your church is located....do you have a web site with some photos of the windows Mr. Scott did?

Krueger:  Thanks for the info on Dixon - I figured he may have passed - our website is www.stthomas-lutheran.org, and I have pix of all our windows that have scenes in the cartoons and will have them on our website soon.
